NetBSD 6.1 RC4 released

NetBSD project announced the forth release candidate of 6.1 version. It is planned to be be the final RC before official release. You can download it here. All changes between 6.0 and 6.1 RC4 can be found here, specific ones in release announcement. Test it and send a feedback to project developers.

From my point of view this release won’t fix my problems with bge NIC in Asrock X79 motherboard (I will need to patch driver manually), however, this release should help to solve various ACPI issues for motherboards with old VIA chipsets (like CN400 /VT8237R) and some AMD systems. One motherboard will work fine for the first time since 2008 when I actually have bought it. Of course, there are lot of other fixes and changes which doesn’t affect me to much but might be useful for other users.
